Campaign for Tap Water
M5.5 Campaign for Tap Water
My campaign to drink tap water as opposed to using bottled water would be "Tap It Up". The slogan would be based off of providing campaign sponsored water bottles and/or stickers that could go on reusable water bottles that would be connected to the "Tap it Up" app.

The app would be informational about where individuals local water source came from and about the levels of safe or unsafe contaminants within their water system. But it would also be a tool that individuals would be able to scan the code on the campaign sponsored water bottles and/or campaign sticker that would go on their reusable water bottle each time they filled up their reusable water bottle. Each time they refilled their reusable water bottle they would learn how much gas emission reduction they were contributing to and the money that they were saving and that number would continue to go up the more they used their reusable water bottle. The number of times they "Taped it Up" could also lead to water discounts on their own individual municipal bill. This campaign would be an attempt to positively reinforce saving behavior in the normal consumer and attempt to inform the public in an active and engaging manner.

Love it! It is catchy- and who wouldn't want to save on their water and sewage bill? They both can get ridiculous! There is an educational, buy-in, and awareness portion to your campaign. The app is valuable and could be used to connect people socially. This would be very impactful in the effort to save the environment from all the damages done from plastics, run-offs, and emissions from big bottled water manufacturers. How would you get buy-in from "For profit" public and private companies? They would be losing a ton of money from the discounts... and we all know unfortunately money is the root of everything.
